…but Monday was a lot better. Seriously – Sunday was just a shitty day all round. I woke up late, which I hate. I then had to go to the family thanksgiving dinner, which I also hate. Then the Skins lost to a last second field goal which cost me my place in the suicide pool, and also created the awkwardness of me yelling “FFFFUUUCKKKK” during grace. Oops.
So yeah – Sunday sucked, and I came home and was just in one of those bad moods that got significantly worse as the night got on, thanks to the Patriots and their hopeless fucking play. This whole day of course resulted in the now infamous Mad About You rant. I did feel fucking afterwards though, and thankfully season 5 has been a bit better, even though the nauseatingly horrible Mel Brooks has shown up to be a character on the show.
Monday, thankfully, was a better day. I got a lot of work done that I needed to do, we went apple picking, and then I met up with Jenny and Orv from Fortune Poker who were passing through town, and we all went out to the Queens Inn to watch some football. I only had one bet on all weekend and it was the Browns +9.5, while Jenny and Orv had the Giants -7.5, and I got to enjoy the Browns CREAMING the Giants, to make me 13-2 for the season thus far. Hells fucking yeah.
Ended up getting quite hammered there too unfortunately, but for once I didn’t go crazy and keep drinking till I had alcohol poisoning. Probably the fact that last call was midnight had something to do with it. I ended up coming home and drinking a ton of water, which means that today I’m actually not feeling too bad at all. This is good because I got lots of work to do, including writing for Fighting Spirit Magazine. I’ve got my first column here in PDF format and I will upload it later – but I’ve got a deadline of 12pm EST for the 2nd column so I better gets to writing now. That, and spending my time praying that the mail lady comes with my copy of Saints Row 2.
I’ll be back later!
