I don’t want to go to bed

Christ, most nights I WANT to go to bed but am swamped in work – tonight I DON’T want to go to bed.  First, there’s the Shield and I am almost done Season 3 and oh holy shit it is so awesome I never want to sleep again – just watch it till it is done.  Such a good show.

Second, I have this AWESOME Football Manager game going.  I mentioned that I started a new game with Albion Rovers and had signed Jean-Pierre Papin.  Well I also signed some random Dutch guy, and after starting the season with 3 losses I thought what the hell – and asked the Dutch guy if he could recommend any other players.  He recommended a random Dutch goalkeeper,, but when I went to view his squad, I found a treasure trove of Dutch clubs, all with awesome players.  Like seriously sick stats – most attributes in double figures etc.  One negative is that they are all 35+, but I decided what the hell, and started bidding.  And when I bid I couldn’t stop, next thing you know I had signed about 18 players, and my wage bill, at the start of the season just 50 pounds over, was now over 3500 pounds a week over.  Oops.

So I sold pretty much all my Scottish players, including my youths.  The team I field is seriously 10 Dutchmen and Papin, so amusing.  To make things funnier the average age in the squad is THIRTY FIVE, and my first team has four people in it over 40.  However the game is going great, we just beat Clyde away in the Scottish Cup and have Aberdeen in home next, and look good to gain promotion via winning the league in our first season.

Anyway yeah that’s pretty much why I want to stay up all night.  Although I better get to some e-mails then head to bed, so I can be up bright and early tomorrow to play with Taff…..at Burnout Paradise that is.  Going to be taking it relatively easy this week, just keep control on everything etc but not go too crazy.
