I hate this time of the month…

…because this is the time of the month where I have to make all rakeback payments.  It’s a very long process, and the only part of my job I don’t like, because I have to sit there and update all users rakeback payments(and there’s over 1000 players), then pay out each and every one of them.  Then I have to do the same for referral payments.  It’s about a 6-8 hour process every month of just straight grunt work.  I would get Brando to do it, but misplacing a single period in one of the many transfers would see me sending $1000 to someone rather than $100, and I’d rather if a mistake like that happens(which it has) that I’m fully responsible for it.  Sigh.  Oh well – it’s only once a month.

Thankfully that is all done.  The current to do list is at 31, and I made some good progress tonight on things.  My goal over the next week is to get my two sites, Rakeback Resource and Ultimate Poker Search up and running.  More on those later.  Once I get them done, I want to clear off my to do list completely, so I can work on my “website to do list” which is basically maintenance and updates to do on all my other sites.  This one isn’t as clearly organized as the other to do list, but it has approximately 500 items on it which is…well, a hell of a fucking lot!

So my plan for the remaining two months of the year is simple – get Rakeback Resource and Ultimate Poker Search up and running, then do maintenance on all the sites I currently have.  This includes wordpress upgrades, converting sites currently ran on geeklog to WordPress, and oh so many more fucking things.  Note to Brando – when we convert all the sites to WordPress, we’re also going to have to go through them and update them where necessary, and I bet there are quite a few updates that are required.  Wheee.

Hopefully I can get “caught up” by the end of the year, because it would be great to start 2009 with a clean slate, and so that is the goal I am working towards.  Then I can focus on optimizing the sites I run, as well as creating new sites – as an example of how many site ideas I currently have – I own about 50 unused domains, and have a detailed list of 36 websites that I need to start.

I dunno – this article seems really disjointed as it’s 3am and I am fucking exhausted after all that work.  Off to bed now methinks, and then right back at it tomorrow Wheeee!
