Today has been such a glorious day…
Seriously. It’s been one of those days that have just been so great I’m overwhelmed by it, and can’t take it all in. And it’s not like anything really special has happened, just been a great fucking day all round. First, there was of course the $15k windfall earlier. Then I spent the morning doing a lot of much needed work on Ultimate Poker Bankroll, updating guides, adding a new e-mail subscription thing, some cosmetic changes etc etc. I also finally with switching my sites to primary domains have been able to use AWStats as well as a built-in stats program, and those combined with Google Analytics have allowed me to get that awful extreme-dm counter off most of my affiliate sites.
I’ve also managed to get a new project going with a partner, that I have been wanting to do for awhile. I won’t say too much at the moment, but it’s a very intuitive site designed for players looking for poker rooms that have specific requirements, and I think it should do extremely well on social networking sites etc. I’ve also outsourced some work to someone who is meant to be a wiz at getting links etc. on social networking – I’m testing this out with a Poker Affiliate Bible article, so I’ll report back once I see how that goes.
So yes – it has been a fun work related day, but it gets better – because I finally got in the mail Saints Row 2. Most people know how disappointed I was with GTA 4(I sold it a week after buying it) but I am glad to say Saints Row 2 is all and more than I expected. I didn’t keep up to date with it so I was pleasantly surprised by all the new features. Online co-op especially is a lot of fun. I think I played it for about 6 hours straight and the time just flew by. Fun, fun fucking game and it’s going to be taking up many hours of my life. Of course, I don’t even have any goddamn achievements to show for that time!
Other than that, I’m just feeling motivated. I’ve managed to get work done that I’ve been needing to, and I’m slowly but surely working away at my To Do list. I’ve got a whole bunch of different lists, but the main one is my personal to do list which has things that need taken care of urgently, as while just general things that may not be purely work related. I’ll start keeping a count: it is currently 56, and I think I will try and get it down to 50 by the end of today.
