Sweet!

About 2 hours ago I ordered a 16GB USB key, and a 1TB External Drive off NCIX – just got the e-mail that it was shipped already!  That was fucking fast.

Whew, done for the night!

Posted by Scotsman on February 6, 2009 in Life |

Well I am finally done for the night.  I didn’t get some stuff done that I wanted, but I got the majority of it.  It’s been a busy day, and I beat two chapters on Dead Space.  I did a lot of work, dealt with all e-mails, and also did a bunch of huge updates to BuyDVDsForSale.com which i will talk about Sunday when I do my (meant to be) weekly report.

Also many thanks to Risto, who dropped off Skate for the 360, and Resident Evil 4 for the Gamecube for me to play.  He also bought for me Rainbow Six Vegas 2, so I’ll be burning that up in co-op over the weekend.

8:30pm EST – time for some Dead Space, followed by BED.

Back to the “Grind”

Posted by Scotsman on February 6, 2009 in Life |

Well today is my first day where I actually want to focus a lot more on getting back to work.  I’m wanting to work on a schedule where I go to bed at 10pm, wake up at 6am and work solidly until 2pm, before finishing for the day.  However I have to take it bit by bit, so for the next month I am focusing pretty much solidly on just getting to bed by 10pm, and waking up at 6am.  So far – a success.

Work will be more relaxed, and throughout the day.  For example, I have the video game Dead Space rented out, and I’d like to beat that by Saturday.  So my schedule today so far is:

  • Go through all e-mails.  Almost done.
  • Tidy up desk.  Just a brief tidy up as it got messy when I installed my two new monitors last night.
  • Play a chapter in Dead Space.
  • Do 5 things off my to do list.
  • Update BuyDVDsForSale.com.
  • Update NBATips.net.
  • Play a chapter in Dead Space.
  • 5 things off my to do list.
  • Tidy up “Website Stuff” e-mail folder.
  • Play a chapter in Dead Space.
  • Add Sportsbooks to StatsRemote.
  • Tidy up “Receipts” e-mail folder.
  • Play a chapter in Dead Space.

And so on.  By doing that, it’s a more relaxed schedule, allows time for gaming etc, and stops work from being tedious.  Now to finish off that e-mail, tidy up the ol’ desk and play me some motherfucking DEAD SPACE~!

I hate you Football Manager

Posted by Scotsman on February 6, 2009 in Multimedia |

Seriously, I have never had a love/hate relationship like I have with the Football Manager series.

Playing it today.  In my 3rd season, going for my first SPL Title as Rangers.  We’re 1-0 up on 9 men Hamilton.  Celtic are losing to Hibs.  This will open up a 10 point gap.  We’re playing phenomenal – my keeper for example, hasn’t conceded a goal in over 1300 minutes of football.

Then this happens:
